Pokey reads!

Berkshire Wordfest

The Mount, Lenox, MA

There are so many good things about this:

1) I get to read with Jess Greenbaum, whose work I love. You will, too!

2) They have many excellent poets on the schedule, including Marie Gauthier, Mark Wunderlich, Peter Filkins, Karen Chase, Michele Gillett and Cassandra Cleghorn, PLUS some amazing fiction and non-fiction writers like Francine du Plessix Gray, Adam Gopnik, Heidi Julavits and Clare Messud. I get to spend an entire day listening!

3) An excuse to (finally) visit The Mount! Former home of Edith Wharton, gorgeous gardens, very cool place to mill about and feel writerish. And there are great restaurants in Pittsfield and Lenox.

Here’s a link to the complete schedule.  The festival runs Saturday and Sunday, and about half of the events are free! Come and spend the day!
