Amy, I ordered Ambergris in July when you announced its publication, and received it during the last week of the month (Bookshop.com was quite fast!), and promptly read it through (for the first time) in two or three sittings. I will not comment on individual poems, but I will say this: on July 28, immediately after I finished Ambergris, I attended an online reading of four Wesleyan U. Press authors (sponsored by City Lights) – and there was not one poem shared that was as vivid and as engaging as any piece in your book. Excellent job. I also passed my recommendation on to an online poetry group I attend once a month. I hope at least one of the participants check out Ambergris. Those who do not will not know what they are missing!
