Reading, Pubs & Love!

I know, I know, I haven’t posted in forever, but here I am! With news!

First, this Friday, November 10, 7pm at the Boutelle-Day Poetry Center at Smith College, I’ll be reading with a stellar line up of poets in celebration of Alice James Books, a small poetry press that has faithfully published “books that matter” as they say, for 50 years. (Yeah, I’m tooting my own book that matters.) AJB published my first collection, How I Got Lost So Close to Home, for which I’m eternally grateful.

Come and say hi! I promise excellent poetry and excellent snacks.

In other news, I have poems up at The Sun, SWWIMM and Alaska Quarterly Review.

So that’s nice. Also, if you haven’t noticed, it’s November, and getting dark, so you should read more poems. And go to more poetry readings. Also, as Aracelis Girmay says in one of my favorite poems, “For Estefani Lora, Third Grade, Who Made Me A Card,” love is for everybody.

This is all I have to say.

  1. Sounds like it will be a great, diverse reading. Sorry that I won’t be in “the neighborhood….” I will, however, check out the links to recent poems of yours. Congratulations on the publications!
